• Mysterious lights continue in South Carolina coastal skies

    Strange lights continue to be spotted by multiple witnesses in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Many videos of the lights have been posted to YouTube since the sightings began during the summer of 2012 (see below.)    Some suspect military flares used by local base training, while others rule out the explanation.  - Editor

  • Large cigar shaped UFO over Buffalo

    A University of Buffalo college student reported seeing a "long, stationary cigar shaped object in the sky" near the school on the afternoon of October, 25, 2012

    The unnamed witness was exiting Interstate 990 at the University exit at 4:40 pm when he noticed a "very large" object in the clear sky just under the moon, according to a report filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON.)  He estimated that the size of the object was between a business jet and a mid sized commercial airliner.

    A witness driving with two children spotted a low flying UFO in Lakeland, Florida, on the evening of October 27, 2012.

    The unidentified witness told the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) that they were driving on Polk Highway toward Interstate 4 at about 8:30 pm when "something bright caught my eye ahead. It was fairly low, but not dangerously low. Very bright."

    The SpaceX Dragon cargo craft spashed down in the Pacific Ocean at 3:22 p.m. EDT Sunday about 250 miles off the coast of Baja California, Mexico, marking a successful conclusion to the first contracted resupply mission to the International Space Station. 

    The Dragon capsule will be taken by boat to a port near Los Angeles, where it will be prepared for a return journey to SpaceX's test facility in McGregor, Texas, for processing.   • Bigfoot proof claimed in East Texas

    There is a history of "Bigfoot" or Sasquatch sighting reports in east Texas.  Now, a man has claimed he has proof of their existence.

    A Dallas area photographer is making news this week with photographs that he claims to have taken of a "Bigfoot" like creature in the woods of Shelby County, Texas.

    The unidentified man told KLTV News in Tyler, Texas, that he was camping recently when a thrown rock landed about ten feet away from him.  He said the rock was too large for a human to have thrown it.

  • Dragon departs space station- Splashdown today

    The SpaceX Dragon cargo craft was released from the International Space Station’s robotic arm by the Expedition 33 crew at 9:29 a.m. EDT. Dragon then performed three burns to place it on a trajectory away from the station and begin its return trip to Earth.

  • Daytime UFO sighting over Appalachia may be explained

    A daylight sighting of a UFO reported last week over Kentucky and West Virginia that was observed for two hours by hundreds of witnesses may have been identified.

    The UK Mail today published a story suggesting that the UFO was an inexpensive, readily available "solar ship" toy balloon that inflates with heat from the sun.

    The sighting sparked an internet sensation when amateur astronomer Allen Epling, of Virgie, KY, posted a video of the object on YouTube.

  • Curiosity grabs its 4th scoop of Mars

    NASA's Mars rover Curiosity used its Mast Camera (Mastcam) during the mission's 78th sol (Oct. 24, 2012) to view soil material on the rover's observation tray. The observations will help assess movement of the sample on the tray in response to vibrations from sample-delivery and sample-processing activities of mechanisms on the rover's arm.

  • Fast flying triangle jumps across Ohio sky

    Reported sightings of triangle shaped UFOs continue to drift northward through the U.S. midwest.

    The latest report comes from Olmsted Falls, Ohio, where a witness told the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) they observed a fast moving array of lights vanish and reappear as it flew across the night sky on October 10, 2012.

    A couple in Michigan returning from an all-nighter at a local casino saw a triangle shaped, silver colored UFO hovering over trees on October 24, 2012.

  • More low flying triangle UFOs in Texas

    More sighting reports of low flying, triangle shaped UFOs are flooding in from Texas to Kansas this week.

    A father and son were watching the Orionid meteor shower on October 20, 2012 when they noticed "a dark object, with no lights" fly overhead in Perryton, TX, near the Oklahoma panhandle.

    Large, triangle shaped UFOs continue to be spotted in the U.S. midwest this week.

    A woman her two grandchildren observed a large, brightly lit triangle shaped object fly overhead at a low altitude in Sawyer, Kansas, on the night of October 24, 2012.

    The woman was driving south through Sawyer at about 9:15 pm when she noticed to the southwest a "row of bright white lights with a red light in the center of the row." She aded that the lights "were not blinking."

    Several UFO sightings have been reported this week in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.

    A witness in Garland, TX, reported seeing a silent, "flying wing" craft on the evening of October 20, 2012.

  • Russian rocket explosion a threat to satellites and space station

    A large Russian rocket stage exploded in low earth orbit on October 16, 2012, raising concerns over the extensive debris caused by the accident, which now poses a collision risk to other orbiting spacecraft, including the International Space Station.

  • V-shaped UFO with turquoise light spotted in DFW Texas area

    Low flying, V-shaped UFOs have been reported by multiple witnesses across the U.S. this week, from Florida to Texas.

    A woman driving with her boyfriend and daughter in Hurst, Texas, reported observing a dark, V-shaped craft flying just above tree level at 6 pm on October 23, 2012.

    Recent reports of phenomena in Scotland are getting more strange. Two witnesses claim that they saw a proverbial "little green man" running from their home this week.

    A couple who lives in Aberdeenshire, about 25 miles from where a UFO was videotaped by a family as it hovered over their home last week in Fraserburgh, report that they photographed a strange green light that appeared to them as a humanoid shaped entity "running away" from their cottage.

    Kentucky State Police received several calls from people claiming to have seen a UFO in clear, daytime skies over Pike County on October, 16, 2012.  It is likely the object that was spotted at the same time in nearby West Virginia, as reported by UFOGrid.
